We are the people behind Paka Betbari Bamboo Fed Producer Company Limited. Our home base is in Phularguri village, near Sarutapa, and we use Diganta Das’s place for our official address. Bamboo is the main thing we deal with because it is what grows best in our local soil. We are not a corporate entity with big offices or fancy marketing. We are just local growers and workers who know how to handle bamboo. Most of our time is spent outdoors, cutting and sorting the poles in the heat. It is dirty, heavy work, and it keeps us busy year-round. Diganta’s house is where we meet to organize our next batches or talk about our expenses. We do not have any formal business training; we just do what makes sense for our village and our families. Phularguri is a simple place, and our company reflects that. We started this group so we could have a better chance of selling our bamboo for a fair price. It is a practical necessity in today’s world. We do not use any big words or promotional tricks to get ahead. We just rely on the fact that we know our trade and we work hard at it. It is how things have always been done in Sarutapa, and we are just keeping the tradition alive while trying to be a bit more organized as a group.
