We are the Lamabari Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our home is in the village of Kukurbhuka, which is under Po Patha in Mazbat. This is in the Darrang district of Assam. Our pin code is 784507. We operate out of S/O Lila Daimari’s place. It’s just a regular house where we keep the records and meet up. We don't have a big sign or anything like that. People in Kukurbhuka know where we are. We are just a group of local farmers trying to get a better price for what we grow. Mazbat is a quiet area, and most of us have lived here all our lives. We don't use corporate language because that’s not who we are. We are more comfortable talking about rain and fertilizers than profit margins. The work is hard and it never really stops. There is always a fence to fix or a crop to harvest. We handle the business side of things together so no one has to do it alone. It’s a practical way to run things in a small village. We spend a lot of time helping each other out. If you come by, you’ll see we are just normal folks. We don't have any big secrets or fancy missions. We just want to farm our land and sell what we produce. It’s a simple life in Darrang, and we like it that way. Every year is a bit different but the routine of the farm stays the same for most of us.
