Barbhag Naari Farmer Producer Company Limited is run by women here in Kamarkuchi Village. Our office, if you can call it that, is at No.390 on the Kamarkuchi Main Road. We are right in the middle of things here. We started this group because we wanted to see the women in our village get a bit more organized with their farming. Most of us have small plots where we grow vegetables and other crops. It’s not easy to do everything alone, so we come together to share what we know and help with the harvesting. We aren't business experts. We are mothers and sisters who know how to work the ground. The Main Road is where we often meet to talk about what needs to be done. We don't use any corporate talk or have big plans for expansion. We just want to make sure we can sell what we grow for a decent price and keep our families fed. Sometimes the crops don't do well, and sometimes the market is tough, but we have each other to lean on. That’s the real reason we exist. We keep our records in simple notebooks and don't worry about being fancy. If you live in Kamarkuchi, you probably already know us. We are just honest people doing the work that needs doing every single day. It’s a practical, local effort and we’re proud of that.
