We are located in Village Bangalpara, which is under the Topabari post office in Kamrup. It’s a quiet village where most people spend their lives in the fields. This company is owned by the local farmers. We don't have a big headquarters or anything like that. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our tools and our books. Most days you won't find anyone in the office because we are all out working. We only come together when there is something important to discuss. It’s a very basic way of running a business, but it suits us. We grow all sorts of things depending on the time of year. Farming in Assam is a bit of a gamble because you never know what the weather will do. One year you have too much rain, and the next year not enough. We just try to help each other out when things get tough. We don't use a lot of fancy technology. It’s mostly just hard work and using what we know. People around here don't care much for big words or corporate talk. They just want to know if the crop is going to be good. We don't have any big dreams of being famous. We just want to look after our families and keep the land healthy for the next generation. It’s a decent way to live.
