Marginal Farmers Marketing Consortium Private Limited is located at the North East Diocesan Social Forum in Joypur Kharghuli, Guwahati. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a name, but we are just a group that helps smaller farmers get their stuff to market. Our office is tucked away in the Kharghuli area, not far from the post box 186. We aren't like those big corporate marketing firms you see in the city center. We are more of a practical group that understands how hard it is for someone with a small plot of land to actually make any money. We spend our time trying to connect different growers so they can sell their products together. It’s a lot of phone calls and messy paperwork, and sometimes things don't go exactly to plan. The building we are in has a lot of history with social work, so it feels like a good fit for what we are trying to do. We don't have a lot of money for fancy furniture or high-tech systems. Mostly, we just have a few desks and a lot of commitment to the farmers who rely on us. It’s honest work, even if it’s frustrating at times. We aren't here to promise the moon.
