Jaymoti Farmer Producer Company Limited

This company is run by a bunch of us living around Village No. 1 Puthimari. We usually meet up at Samir Boro’s place in Bapubheti to figure out our farming plans for the next season. Jaymoti Farmer Producer Company Limited is just a way for us local farmers to work as one group instead of everyone struggling on their own. Life in the village revolves around the harvest cycle, so that is mostly what we talk about. We aren't a big corporation with city offices. Our main spot is just a regular house where we keep our records and have tea while discussing grain prices or fertilizer. It can be a bit chaotic sometimes when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. Most of us have known each other since we were kids, so there is a lot of trust involved. We grow what the soil allows and try to find decent buyers so we can support our families. It’s a simple life here in Bapubheti, and the company is just a tool to help us stay afloat. Sometimes we struggle with the logistics of moving goods out of the village, but having this group makes those problems a little smaller. We are just ordinary people trying to do right by our land and our neighbors.
