We’ve been here in Nand Nagar for a while now at number 270. It’s just a small setup we have, nothing fancy or big like those companies you see on the main roads. Mostly it’s just us working with big pots and trying to get the seasoning right for whatever party we are doing that day. The kitchen gets really hot in the summer, but we are used to it by now. Sometimes the delivery van acts up and we have to fix it ourselves before we can head out to a venue. We don't have a big team, just a few local guys who know how to stir a large dekchi without burning the bottom. Our neighbors in Nand Nagar know us because of the smell of onions frying in the morning. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags of rice and crates of vegetables every day. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or websites because we are usually too busy cleaning up after an event or prepping for the next one. People just call us or stop by the house when they need food for a wedding or a small get-together at home. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the food to the table on time. It’s not always perfect, but we put in the hours and make sure no one goes home hungry. That’s pretty much how we spend our days here in the neighborhood.
