Madhya Daukimari Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Chapghar in the Amguri area of Maynaguri. You can find us at Chinmaynanda Roy’s place. Jalpaiguri is a place where you really feel the seasons changing especially when the rains come. We are right there in the middle of it. Our group is made of people from the local village who have been farming for a long time. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what we need to do and try to stay organized. Being in a place like 735224 means we are close to the land and the people who work it every day. The office is just a simple space where we gather to talk about what we are planting and how the crops are looking. Some days we have a lot of people stopping by to ask for advice or just to chat about the latest prices. It gets a bit dusty in the dry season and quite muddy when it pours but we don't mind much. It’s just part of living and working in this part of West Bengal. We try to help each other out when someone is having a bad year with their harvest. It is a slow way of life compared to the city but we like it that way and we just keep moving forward with the daily chores.
