Kathakali Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out in Maynagurikankanguri. We are a group of local people who spend our days working the land. Our office, if you can call it that, is associated with Sarat Roy’s family in the area. We are not some big city business with a lot of money or expensive equipment. We are just farmers who realized that we could do more if we worked as a collective group instead of trying to do everything on our own. Maynaguri is a quiet place and we like it that way. We don't have any flashy slogans or a big marketing budget. Most of what we do involves getting our hands dirty and making sure the crops are growing like they should. It is a very practical business. We meet up to talk about what we need for the next season and how we are going to get our produce to the people who need it. We don't always get things perfect, and sometimes we make mistakes, but we are honest about it. We are just real people living and working in West Bengal.
