Khagenhat Srijan Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers here in Dakshin Sakoyajhar, Dhupguri. Khagenhat Srijan Farmer Producer Company Limited was set up because we wanted a better way to handle our crops. It is mostly local people from around the village who are involved. We use a space over at Tarani Kanta Roy’s place for our meetings and paperwork. Life around here is mostly about the fields and the weather. When the harvest comes, things get very busy. We try to help each other out with seeds or tools when someone is short. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a simple setup to make sure the work gets done right. Sometimes the rain makes the roads difficult, but we still manage to get together. We deal with whatever crops are in season. Everyone knows everyone else in this part of Dhupguri. It is a lot of hard work under the sun. We spend most of our days checking on the soil and the plants. There are always problems to solve, like pests or low prices at the market. We just take it one day at a time and see what needs doing. We don't have any big speeches or goals. It is just about keeping the farm going and making sure the families have what they need. We are just regular people from the village trying to make the farming business work a bit better for everyone involved here in our area.
