We are located at 115 Manak Chowk, right by Badi Chaupar. The name of the business is Madho Behari Mohan Behari, which has been around for quite a while. Being in such a central part of the city means we see everything that happens in the square. It’s a very old part of town, and our building shows its age, but we like it that way. There is a lot of history in these walls and on these streets. We spend our mornings setting things up before the crowds really start to get thick. By afternoon, it’s usually quite loud outside with all the tourists and locals moving through Badi Chaupar. Our shop isn't particularly fancy or modern. We have old wooden counters and shelves that have been here for years. We don't see the need to change things just for the sake of looking new. People come to us because they know where we are and they know what to expect. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around who knows the history of the place. Sometimes we just stand at the doorway and watch the traffic go by. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We just keep the doors open and do our work as honestly as we can. It’s a simple existence in a very famous part of the city.
