Beli Ram Prakash Chandar

Beli Ram Prakash Chandar is right in the middle of the bustle at Tripoliya Bazar 322. If you’ve ever walked through the bazaar, you know how crowded it gets with the shoppers and the carts pushing through. Our shop has been here for generations, and the walls are thick stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the name painted above the door that’s faded a bit over the years. Inside, it smells like old paper and whatever goods we happen to be stocking that month. It’s a family thing, really. My father and his brothers used to sit on the floor cushions here, and now it’s our turn to handle the customers. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in, sit down, and talk about what they need. It’s a slow process sometimes, but that’s how business goes in this part of town. We have regulars who come in just to say hello and maybe buy a small thing. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a very rickety ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a bit disorganized if you’re looking at it from the outside, but we know exactly where everything is. It’s just a traditional shop in an old market, doing things the same way we always have.
