I G Foods & Snacks

Living and working on Ajmer Road means dealing with a lot of noise and dust from the traffic. Our spot at Vardhman Nagar A-1/A-2 is where we spend all our daylight hours. I G Foods & Snacks is basically just a place where we make things for people to eat when they are in a hurry or want something to crunch on. We go through a lot of oil and salt every single week. The bags get stacked up in the corner until the delivery truck comes by. It isn't a glamorous life, but it's what we do. Sometimes the machinery gets loud and we have to yell to hear each other. We try to keep the floors swept, but with the snacks, there is always a bit of crumbs everywhere. We have some regulars who stop by on their way home from work. They usually want the same thing every Friday. We know the neighbors well and sometimes we trade what we make for things they have. The summers are the hardest because the heat from the fryers combined with the Rajasthan sun makes the shop feel like an oven. We just drink a lot of water and keep moving. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the shelves aren't empty when people walk in. It’s a simple business and we like the people who come by.
