You can find us at number 77 on Dharmatala Lane, which is right in the Shibpur area of Howrah. It is a very old part of the city, and the lanes can be quite narrow and winding. If you are coming from the main road, you have to keep a sharp eye out for the turn. The hotel is tucked away among the houses and the local shops that have been there for decades. It is a very busy neighborhood, with people moving around constantly and the sounds of the city always in the background. We have a few floors with rooms that look out over the rooftops of Howrah. It’s not like those big international hotels; it’s more of a place where you get a key and a clean bed without any fuss. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure the water is running right, as these old buildings can be a bit tricky. The staff is mostly local guys from Shibpur who know every shortcut in the area. We get a lot of people who are in town for business at the docks or the nearby markets. It’s a practical place to stay if you need to be in this part of Howrah. We don’t have a big fancy restaurant, but there is plenty of good street food just a few steps away from the front door. It is a real slice of local life around here.
