Adyashakti Enterprise

Being on G. T. Road in Bally means there is never a quiet moment. Adyashakti Enterprise is located at number 407. It’s a narrow building, but we make it work. We handle various supplies for the local workshops and houses around here. Howrah is full of small industries, so there is always a demand for hardware and tools. The shop floor is concrete and has a few cracks in it. We’ve been here quite a while now. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so I have to use a tall ladder to reach the top. It’s a bit wobbly, to be honest. I should probably buy a new one soon but I never get around to it. My nephew works here with me. He’s better with the phone and the orders than I am. Most of our customers are workers from nearby. They come in with grease on their hands looking for a specific bolt or a piece of pipe. We spend a lot of time digging through bins to find the right size. It’s dusty work, but I like the smell of iron and oil. We don’t do any big advertising. People just see the sign when they are stuck in traffic and stop by. It’s a practical business for a practical part of town. We keep things simple and try to have what people ask for when they need it quickly. The door squeaks a bit but we know it’s just our place.
