Shubh Granites

Our shop, Shubh Granites, is situated in Dlf City Phase I, right in the middle of the Sikandarpur Marble Market. It’s a busy area where everyone is selling some kind of stone or tile. We focus mostly on granites, and we have various types stacked up along the walls of our space. The air is always a bit thick with the sound of stones being cut nearby. It is not the kind of place where you wear your best clothes. I usually spend my time talking to customers who are trying to pick out something for their new floors. It’s a big decision for them, so I let them take their time looking at the patterns. Every slab is a little bit different, which is what makes it interesting. Sometimes a shipment arrives and we have to scramble to find room for all the new pieces. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around by hand or with simple tools. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just walk in because they are already in the market looking for materials. We try to be helpful and point out which stones are tougher or which ones might stain easier. It’s a straightforward business. We open up early and stay until the sun starts to go down. It’s just us here, working with stone every day and making a go of it. This market is where we belong and we enjoy the routine of it.
