You can find Shri Ram Tiles near the Krishan Ji Mandir, which is close to Jhund Sarai on the Gurgaon Pataudi Road. It is a very specific spot, and the temple is the best way to know you’ve arrived. We have a lot of heavy tile samples stacked up all over the place. The floor is usually a bit dusty because of all the ceramic and stone we move around every day. It’s quite a workout lugging those boxes from the trucks into the storage area. The Pataudi Road gets very busy with trucks and tractors, so it’s a noisy environment. We have all sorts of tiles, but we don’t have them arranged in a fancy gallery way. They are mostly just leaning against the walls or sitting in their crates. Sometimes people come in with bits of broken tiles trying to find a match, and we spend time digging through the stacks to help them out. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We don’t wear uniforms or anything like that; we just wear clothes that we don’t mind getting a bit dirty. The office part is just a small desk in the corner where we keep the bills and a calculator. It’s a very hands-on business. When the temple bells ring next door, it’s a nice break from the sound of the traffic outside. We just stay focused on moving the stock and helping whoever walks through the door.
