Neelkanth Marbles

The shop is on Sheetla Mata Road, right across from Utsav Garden. It is a busy place to be. You see the traffic all day and the guests coming for weddings or parties at the garden. Here at Neelkanth Marbles, we deal with a lot of dust and heavy lifting. That is just how it is with stone. My shoes are never clean, and there is always a layer of white powder on the desk. We spend our time moving slabs around and showing people what we have in stock. It is not an easy job because marble is heavy and you have to be careful not to chip the edges. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Sometimes it is very hot, and the sun reflects off the stone so brightly you have to squint. We just keep the fans going and drink our tea. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical place for people to find what they need. We talk to the neighbors and the truck drivers who bring the new loads. It is a simple life and we stay busy enough. There is always another slab to move or another customer asking about colors. We just take it one day at a time here at the shop. It is what it is, just a regular business on a busy road.
