Pooja Marbles

Our spot is at B-452A in Sushant Lok-1, right in the middle of the Huda Marble Market. If you walk around Plot No. 58 in Sector 33-34, you will find Pooja Marbles easily. The ground is usually covered in white dust from all the stones. We have been here for years, watching the market change. It is loud with the trucks and the cutting machines going all day. We spend most of our time showing people different slabs and talking about the finish. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My back usually aches by Friday, but that is just how the marble business is. We don't have a glossy showroom with air conditioning. It’s mostly outdoor space with some sheds to keep the rain off the stock. Most of our customers are just local builders or people fixing up their own kitchens. We try to keep things organized, but in a marble yard, stuff gets messy fast. Sometimes the guys from the other shops come over for a chat. We know the regulars by name. It is a busy life here in the sector. You get used to the noise after a while. We don't use fancy computers for everything, mostly just a notebook and some grit. It’s honest work and we stay busy from morning till the sun goes down. Sometimes we have to stay late to unload a fresh shipment of stones from the quarry. We just stack them up and start again the next day.
