Utl(United Telecom Limited)

The office for United Telecom Limited is tucked away in Sanguem. We are at Krishnadurga, specifically House Number 46 in the Dattawadi area. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here if you’re coming from the bigger cities in Goa, but we like the pace. It’s much quieter than Margao or Panjim. We handle a lot of the telecom stuff for this region. Most of the time, it’s just us dealing with technical issues or managing the connections. The building feels more like a home than a corporate office, which makes it a bit more comfortable for the staff. We’ve got some trees around and it feels quite green. Sanguem is a nice place to work because it’s not so crowded. Our day starts early before it gets too hot. We check the lines and make sure the systems are running okay. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in this area, so we have to deal with that. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the wires and the signals. Most of the people who work here are from around Sanguem or nearby villages. We know each other well and keep things simple. It’s a practical job and we try to do it right without making a big fuss about it. There is always a lot to do with the network.
