Goa Marriot Resort

We’re over in Nagoa, Verna, right opposite the Maharaja Hotel. It’s a bit of a different spot for a resort name, away from the typical beach crowds you find in other parts of Goa. Mount Mary is the area we’re in. It’s a bit quieter here, more about the local hills and the greenery than the sand. We spend our days making sure guests are comfortable and the place looks decent. It’s a lot of maintenance and keeping things tidy. Goa has a slower pace of life, and we try to stick to that even when things get busy. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we know the local shortcuts and where to get the best snacks. We aren't about big corporate speeches; we’re more about just getting the rooms ready and making sure the food is hot. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes things a bit tricky, but we manage. People come here to relax, so we try not to be too in-their-face about anything. It’s just a regular workplace for us, even if it’s a resort. We talk to the guests, fix whatever breaks, and keep the garden looking okay. It’s a nice enough place to spend the day. Being in Salcete gives us a bit of that old Goa feel that’s hard to find now. Just simple work in a pretty nice part of the world with a decent group of people.
