This specific branch of our work for the National Institute Of Oceanography is based at House Number 308 in the Devlay area of Khandola. We are located in Marcela, Goa, 403107. While the main institute is over in Dona Paula, some of us work out of this location to handle specific research tasks and data collection. Oceanography is a field that requires a lot of patience and long hours of looking at numbers and sea samples. Being here in Marcela allows us to have a quiet place to focus on the science without too many distractions. The house is just a normal building where we have set up our lab equipment and computers. We don't have a public gallery or anything for visitors to see. It is strictly a place for research and study. We spend our days coordinating with the main office and sometimes going out into the field to gather new information about the ocean. It is a lot of slow, methodical work. We aren't a big commercial company, so we don't have any marketing or promotional material. We just do the research because that is what we are here for. Marcela is a traditional part of Goa, and it provides a good atmosphere for the kind of thinking we need to do. We just keep things simple, focus on the ocean data, and try to learn something new every day from our desks here.
