Goa Shipyard Limited

I work as an assistant manager here at Goa Shipyard Limited. We are located right on the coast in Goa, which is where all the big shipbuilding happens. It is a heavy industrial environment, so it's not like the tourist beaches most people think of. We have a lot of metal, cranes, and big ships in various stages of being built or fixed. My day is usually spent walking around the yard or sitting in the office dealing with the logistics of ship construction. It is loud and can get very hot under the sun. We have a big team of workers and engineers all trying to get these massive vessels ready for the water. There is always a lot of dust and the smell of welding in the air. We don't do much fancy talk here. It is more about getting the measurements right and making sure the parts arrive on time. We’ve been building ships in Goa for a long time, and everyone here takes it pretty seriously. It is a lot of hard work and sometimes things go wrong or get delayed, but we just keep pushing through. We are a big part of the local industry and many families here have someone working at the yard. It’s just how life is in this part of Goa. We just try to get the jobs done and launch the ships.
