Faber-Castell India has a spot here in Vasant Nagar, Sanquelim. The address is H. No. 1017. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the coastal side of Goa, but it’s a nice area once you get here. We work on the production and distribution side of things. The building is functional and focused on getting the work done. We have people coming in shifts to keep things moving. Sanquelim is a bit more industrial and quiet than the beach towns, which works well for a facility like ours. We have piles of supplies and finished goods moving in and out every day. It’s a busy environment but we try to keep a friendly vibe among the workers. Most of the staff are locals from the surrounding villages. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or decorations in the office area. It’s all very practical and a bit dusty from the work. Sometimes the machinery is loud, and we have to shout to be heard over the noise, but we’re used to it. We spend our days checking the boxes and making sure everything is packed right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s what we do. We’ve been here for a while and have become a regular part of the Vasant Nagar landscape. There’s no big secret to how we work; we just show up and do the job until it's finished.
