Jharkatiya Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small outfit we started right here in our village. You can find us at C/O Punai Ram, 01, Jharkatiya, over by Po Majhariya Vikram. Punai Ram has been part of this community forever, and using his place as our base just made sense for everyone involved. We are a farmer-owned company, which basically means we are all in this together. There are no outside bosses telling us what to do. We spend our mornings in the fields and our afternoons figuring out the logistics of moving our produce. It’s a very local operation. We know every acre of land around Jharkatiya because we’ve walked it since we were kids. The work is physically demanding and doesn't pay as much as some city jobs, but it's what we know. We don't have any shiny brochures or fancy websites. We just talk to our neighbors and work the soil. Sometimes the paperwork for the company gets a bit confusing, but we manage to get through it. Our main goal is just to keep our farms running and make sure our families are taken care of. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours. If you see us at the Majhariya Vikram post office or around the village, you’ll know we’re just the same people who have always been here, just trying to be a bit more organized as a group. It is hard work, but we like being our own bosses.
