The Richmond Matric Higher Secondary School

People in Seenapuram know our school right on Sh 196. It’s been sitting on Seenapuram Main Road for years and has become a bit of a landmark for the local area here in Erode. When we first opened, the road wasn't as busy as it is now, but things have changed a lot over the decades. The school building has grown bit by bit, adding new sections for the higher secondary students when we needed more space. It is a practical place where the day-to-day work of teaching happens. We have a playground where the grass struggles to stay green in the heat, but the kids don't seem to mind much. The teachers arrive early, usually on their scooters, and the kids come in from the nearby villages and the town. We spend a lot of time on the basics, making sure the classrooms are clean and the fans are working during the hot months. It isn't a flashy place with glass walls or anything like that. It's built of sturdy brick and has plenty of windows to catch the breeze. Most of the people working here live close by, so there is a lot of talking at the gate in the mornings. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams are handled properly. It's a simple life here, just running a school and watching the students pass through the gates every year.
