Kongu Vellalar Matriculation School is located on Chenniamalai Road in Perundurai. We’ve been part of this community for quite some time now, and many of our former students are now bringing their own children back to us. It’s a bit of a traditional place. We don’t have all the latest gadgets or high-tech equipment you might find in a big city school, but we have solid classrooms and teachers who actually care about what they’re doing. The school sits on a decent-sized plot of land. There’s usually a bit of a breeze coming across the fields, which helps with the heat in the afternoon. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the basics—making sure the schedule is followed and that the students are staying on top of their work. It’s not always glamorous. Some days we’re just making sure the water tanks are full or that the front gate is working properly. Perundurai is a busy town, and we’re glad to be a steady presence here. We don't spend money on big advertisements because we’d rather put that into fixing a roof or buying more books for the library. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to provide a place where the local kids can get their education and move on to whatever comes next for them. It’s a simple setup, but it keeps us busy from morning to night.
