Jayam Vidhya Bhavan Matric School

Our school is located in Senapathipalayam, Erode, right here in the Vellakovil area. Jayam Vidhya Bhavan Matric School is where we spend our days. It is not a very fancy place, just a regular school building with classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run around during their breaks. We have been here for some time now. In the mornings, you can see the parents dropping off their children at the gate. Some kids come by bus and others walk if they live close by. The teachers arrive early to get their desks ready before the first bell rings at nine o’clock. There is always a lot of noise during the lunch hour when everyone is eating their tiffins. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many students, there is always some dust or a stray pencil on the floor. The classrooms have big windows to let the air in. We have the usual subjects like math and science, and the students spend their time writing in their notebooks or listening to the blackboard lessons. After the final bell, the place gets quiet again until the next morning. It is a simple routine that repeats every week from Monday to Friday. We just do our work and make sure the kids have what they need for their classes. That is basically what goes on here every day at the school in Vellakovil.
