About Kongu National Matriculation School – Education in Erode
It’s usually pretty loud here at Kongu National Matriculation School by eight in the morning. Most of us are already here at the Perundurai Main Road spot before the sun gets too high. Nasiyanur can get quite warm, so we try to get things moving early. The buses pull in one after another and the kids just scatter toward their rooms. We’ve been at this Erode location for a while now. Some of the desks have seen better days but they still work fine for what we need. You’ll see teachers carrying stacks of notebooks across the hallway while trying to keep the younger ones in a straight line. It’s a lot of work honestly. The fans hum in the background all day while the classes go on. At lunchtime, the whole place smells like lemon rice and sambar because everyone brings their tiffin boxes from home. We don't have fancy marble floors or anything like that. It’s just a regular building where we spend our days. Sometimes the gate gets a bit stuck if it rains, but we just give it a good push. People around here know where we are. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. It isn't a quiet place by any means. There is always someone running or a teacher calling out a name. By the afternoon, we’re all pretty tired and ready to head home ourselves. It’s just how things go around here in our corner of the city.
