First Step Montessori School

First Step Montessori is a small school located at Number 265 / A in Ashok Nagar, Moolapalayam. This is over in Erode. Since it is a Montessori school, we deal with the very young children who are just starting out. The building is more like a house that has been converted into a learning space. We have different rooms for different age groups. Instead of just desks and chairs, we have mats on the floor and a lot of wooden toys and learning materials scattered around. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s how it goes when you have toddlers running around. The neighborhood in Ashok Nagar is mostly residential, so it’s a relatively quiet spot for a school. Parents like that they can just park their scooters outside and walk their kids to the door. We have a small staff of teachers who are good at being patient with the little ones. They spend the morning teaching the kids how to pour water, tie their laces, and recognize letters. There is a small area outside where they can play in the dirt or on the swings. It’s a simple, cozy place. We don’t have big fancy buses or a huge campus, just a few rooms in Erode where children take their first steps into learning. The lunch hour is always the busiest time for the staff as we help the kids eat.
