Thripthi Rice Private Limited is located in South Vellarappily, Kalady. It’s a place where we’ve been working for quite a while now. The area is pretty green and quiet, which is nice when you’re busy with the heavy work of a rice mill. We spend most of our time inside the facility, dealing with the processing and packing. It’s not the sort of job where you stay clean, as there is always some husk or dust floating around. We have a set routine that we follow every day to make sure the rice gets sorted right. The machines are old but they still do the job if you treat them right. We don’t have a flashy office or any of that. Most of our space is taken up by the big storage areas where the bags are kept. Sometimes the weather in Kalady gets very wet, and we have to be extra careful to keep everything dry. It’s a local business, and we don't try to act like we are bigger than we are. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the orders go out when they should. People around here know the mill and they know us. It’s a simple life of hard work and staying busy. We don’t have any fancy mission statements; we just show up and do what needs to be done. South Vellarappily is our home, and we’re just glad to be working here every single day with our small crew.
