Sugar Trader

Down at 74R, Moulana Azadh Road in Karuvelipady, you’ll find our little spot. We are just called Sugar Trader, which pretty much sums up what we do every day. We’re located right near Viyya Stores, so it’s easy enough to find if you’re familiar with this part of town. The office is really just one room where we handle all the buying and selling. We deal with different grades of sugar and move them to wherever they are needed. It’s a simple business model without any unnecessary complications. We don't have any flashy signs or big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people passing by, which keeps things interesting. Some days the market prices for sugar jump around a lot, and we have to stay on our toes to make sure we don't lose out. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping and phone calls to different warehouses. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to do our jobs well and get home to our families at the end of the shift. The floor is usually covered in a bit of stray sugar, and the air smells sweet, which I guess is a perk of the job. It’s just an honest way to make a living here in Karuvelipady and keep the local supply going for whoever needs it.
