Priyam Sortex Rice

At Priyam Sortex Rice, we spend most of our time around the machines. We are located at 15-88 on Kulangattil Road in Kondanad. It is a noisy place because of the sortex machines running. We deal with rice all day long. My family has been in this area for a long time. The building is not new, but the equipment inside does the job. We have bags of rice stacked up everywhere. It smells like grain in here mostly. We take the rice and run it through the machines to make sure it is clean. It takes a lot of electricity. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait. Kondanad is a good place for this kind of work. We aren't a big corporation, just a local outfit trying to make a living. People come by with their trucks to pick up orders. We don't have a front office with air conditioning. It is just the shed and the road. We try to keep things moving. If you come by Kulangattil Road, you will see the sign. We aren't hard to find. It is a messy job with the husks and dust, but someone has to do it. We just focus on getting the bags ready for the local shops around here. We hope the harvest is always good so we can stay busy.
