Plant Lipids

We are based out in Kolenchery. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the city, but it suits us just fine. Plant Lipids has been around for a long time, working with whatever nature gives us. The smell of extracts and oils is something you get used to pretty quickly when you spend your days here. Sometimes it’s spice, sometimes it’s something else, but it’s always there. We have quite a few people from the local village working with us. The pace is steady, though it gets hectic during the harvest seasons when more raw materials arrive at the gates. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the processing side of things. The equipment needs a lot of looking after, so there’s always a mechanic or an engineer poking around something. Kolenchery is a good spot for this kind of work because of the surroundings. We’ve got a lot of history in this building. It’s grown bit by bit over the years as we needed more space. You won't find many suits or ties around here; most of us are in work clothes because things can get messy. The rain in Kerala can be heavy, and that sometimes slows things down, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a simple way of working, really. We just take what comes in and process it.
