Megha Granites & Tiles

Megha Granites & Tiles is located right on the Athani-Mundampalam Road in Kakkanad. We've been at 192, B1 for a while now. Most days it’s just us handling the different tile shipments and moving the granite slabs around the yard. It gets pretty busy because that road sees a lot of traffic. People stop by when they’re passing through Kakkanad to look at what we have in stock. The tiles come in all sorts of sizes and the granite is mostly heavy stuff that needs a few of us to shift. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we keep things organized as much as we can. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but that’s just how it is here. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the piles of tiles are steady. If you’re coming from the Athani side, you’ll see us before you get too deep into the main part of town. We mostly just focus on the inventory we have on hand. It's a lot of manual work, lifting and carrying, but we are used to it by now. The granite pieces are stored out back where there’s a bit more room to move. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that, just the desk and the samples laid out. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day.
