Natural Stone India.

We operate Natural Stone India from Varappoth in Chelakulam, which is quite close to Perumbavoor and Aluva. It’s a green area, and we have a decent amount of space for our stone inventory. We’ve always been interested in the different types of stone you can find across the country, so we started this business to bring them here. The yard is usually full of slabs and blocks, and there is always a bit of noise from the cutting machines or the crane. We don’t have a polished showroom with air conditioning. It’s mostly just an open space where you can see the stones in the natural light, which is probably better anyway. We have a small office that’s often a bit cluttered with invoices and tea cups. Our staff is local, and we all just pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s unloading a truck or talking to a customer who walked in. We don't really do big advertisements or anything. Most people find us because they live nearby or they’re working on a house in the area. We try to be honest about the quality of the stone and what it can be used for. Sometimes we get a bit backed up when a big order comes in, but we work through it. It’s just a regular stone yard where we do our best. We’ve been around for a while and like being part of the local building community here.
