Our business is located at CP/XII/493A on the Chapparpadavu Panchayat Road, in the Chimmini Chootta area of Kannur. It’s a bit of a way out, but it’s where we have the space to store everything. At FINERO TIMBERTILE PRIVATE LIMITED, we deal with exactly what the name says: wood and tiles. The yard is usually full of the smell of cut timber, which is something you get used to after a while. We aren't a big operation with a fancy showroom. Most of our customers are locals from around Kannur or builders who know we have what they need. We spend our days moving heavy tiles and checking the quality of the wood that comes in. It’s physical work and it can be quite tiring, especially when the humidity is high. We have a small office where we keep the books and take calls. It’s not much to look at, just a desk and some chairs and a lot of dust. We don’t have a big team of sales people. Usually, it’s just one of us handling whoever walks in. The road outside can be quiet, which is nice, but it makes it a bit of a trek for people coming from the city. We’ve stayed in this spot because it works for us and the rent is fair. We just focus on getting the timber and tiles out to people so they can finish their houses. It’s a steady life and we aren't looking for anything more than that.
