Working out of Synthite Taste Park in Pancode is quite something. It is a bit away from the main city buzz, which makes the morning commute a bit more bearable if you like the greenery. Here at Aromco Flavours India, we deal with a lot of different scents and tastes every single day. You walk into the building and you never really know if it is going to smell like strawberries or something spicy. It is a bit of a maze in the park, but once you find our section, it is mostly labs and storage areas. We spend a lot of time looking at small bottles and checking labels to make sure everything is where it should be. The sun gets pretty hot out here in Pancode, so we usually stay inside where it is cooler. Lunch breaks are usually spent with the guys from the other units nearby, just chatting about local news or the weather. It is a very practical environment with not much room for standing around. We have got a lot of equipment that needs constant attention. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck at the gate, but that is just part of life at the Taste Park. We do not have a flashy front desk or anything like that. It is just a bunch of us in our gear, making sure the flavor batches are handled right and sent out on time to whoever needs them.
