Our office is at number 4064 on Nai Sarak. We are right across from the Geeta Press in Gorakhpur and not too far from the Jama Masjid. This whole area is packed with history and a lot of people moving around, so it is never really quiet. We focus on publishing, so there is usually a lot of paper and ink smells around the place. Being on Nai Sarak means we are right in the middle of the book trade, which is exactly where we need to be. The office isn't very large, and it can get quite cluttered with proofs and manuscripts that need to be checked. We spend a lot of time sitting at our desks, reading through things and making sure the printing looks right before anything goes out. The streets outside are narrow and can get jammed with carts and bikes, which makes getting deliveries a bit of a challenge sometimes. We just deal with it like everyone else in this part of town. It is an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is a bit uneven, but it has character. We aren't trying to be some big fancy media house; we just do our publishing work and try to keep up with the schedule. Every day is a lot of reading and checking details, which can be tiring, but it is the life we chose here. We just keep our heads down and get the books printed.
