If you know Darya Ganj, you know how Ansari Road gets. Our office, Bharatiya Sahitya Bhavana Pragati Publications, is at Office No-4382/4B. It’s right in the middle of all that noise and energy. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow. We’ve been working out of this space for a long time. There are stacks of books everywhere you look. Sometimes we have to move three piles just to find a chair to sit on. It’s a busy atmosphere with people coming and going. The tea seller downstairs knows us well. We don't have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s just wood shelves and old fans that hum all day. Working in Darya Ganj means you’re always around books and paper. We spend our mornings checking lists and our afternoons packing things up. The light in the office isn't the brightest, but it’s enough for what we do. We don't spend much time on decorations. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and notes. It’s a practical place for practical work. When the sun goes down, the street gets a bit quieter, and we finish up our last tasks. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy boxes and keeping track of titles. We just show up and do what needs to be done. That’s how it works here on Ansari Road. We are just a small part of the book world here.
