Krishna Book Company

Krishna Book Company is right opposite the Jama Masjid Police Station. It is a very busy part of the city, and there is always something happening outside. If you stand at our entrance, you can see the police station and all the people moving towards the masjid. We have books stacked up everywhere. Sometimes the stacks get so high they almost touch the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know where the different sections are located. People come in looking for all sorts of things, and we spend a lot of our time climbing ladders or reaching into corners to find a specific title. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going. We don’t have a big sign or a modern storefront. It is just an old-school bookshop with that specific smell of old and new paper mixed together. The N A in our address is just how it is recorded, but the main thing is being near the station. We see the same faces every day, from the tea seller to the regular students who stop by to browse. It is a humble place. We don't do much besides managing the inventory and helping people who walk through the door. It’s a lot of work keeping it all organized, but we stay busy. We have been here for years, and the dust on the top shelves proves how much time has passed.
