The Grand Shiva Resort & Spa

We've been here on the Badrinath Highway in Shivpuri for quite a while now. Rishikesh is always busy with people coming for the river or the temples, and we are just a bit outside the main town hub. It gets a bit noisy on the highway sometimes with all the trucks and buses going up toward the mountains, but once you get inside the gates, things quiet down quite a bit. We have rooms for people who are passing through or staying for a few days to see the sights. The spa part is something we try to keep running smoothly so folks can relax after a long drive from Delhi or Dehradun. It is mostly a family-run kind of feeling here even though it is a resort. We have staff who live nearby in the villages and they know the area well. Sometimes the power goes out because that is how it is in the hills, but we have a generator to keep things moving. We see a lot of rafters and people looking for a bit of peace near the Ganga. It isn't a fancy city hotel, but we keep the rooms clean and the food is cooked fresh in our kitchen. Most people find us because they are heading up to the higher shrines or just want to sit by the water for a weekend. We just try to make sure everyone has a place to sleep and a hot meal when they get here.
