Hotel Viceroy Inn

You can find us at 102, Araghar Balbir Road in Dehra Dun. We’ve been here at Hotel Viceroy Inn for a while, right in the heart of the city. The building has its own character, not like those modern glass hotels. It’s more of a practical place for people to stay when they’re passing through or visiting for work. We have a few floors and the rooms are what you’d expect for a local inn. Nothing too over the top, just a bed and a place to wash up. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we know the local area well. If you need to know where the best snacks are or how to get to the station, we can usually tell you. Balbir Road gets a bit of traffic during the day, but it settles down at night. We spend a lot of time checking people in and out, and sometimes the laundry takes longer than we'd like. It’s a bit of an old-school way of running things. We use a big ledger for some stuff and computers for others. The lobby is small but we keep a few chairs there for people waiting. Dehra Dun is a nice place, especially when the weather is clear and you can see the hills. We just try to keep the rooms tidy and make sure everyone has what they need for the night. It's just a simple hotel run by regular people who’ve been doing this for years now.
