This isn't a massive skyscraper hotel like you might find in a big city, but a more grounded building that fits into the local neighborhood. At Lemon Tree Hotels here, we spend our time managing the rooms and making sure the guests have what they need. The staff here are locals who know the Dehradun weather and the best spots to eat nearby. We deal with a lot of people coming through for work or just passing through the cantonment area. The building at Ram Niwas has its own character, and we try to keep things running smoothly despite the occasional power cut or the heavy rain during the monsoon season. Our desks are usually piled with check-in forms and local registers. We don’t use much fancy talk; we just tell people where their room is and how to get to the main road. The bazaar outside is full of life, with shops selling everything from clothes to groceries, and it’s a short walk to the main gates of the Cantt. We focus on the daily tasks like laundry, cleaning, and answering the front desk phone. It’s a practical, busy environment where we just get on with the job of running a hotel in a bustling market.
