Hotel Filigree

Being up here on Camels Back Road means we get to see some pretty nice views when the clouds clear up. It’s a bit of a walk from the main Kulri market area, which some people like because it’s quieter, though others find the hill a bit much after a long day. We’ve been running this place for a bit now. The building is tucked away a little, so it’s not right in your face when you’re walking by. In the mornings, you can usually hear the birds, and sometimes there are a few monkeys hanging around the trees outside looking for something to eat. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the weather, especially when it rains hard or gets really foggy. The rooms are simple. We don’t have all those fancy high-tech gadgets you see in big hotels, but the beds are comfortable enough for a night's sleep after walking around. Sometimes the water takes a minute to get warm, but that’s just how it is in this area. We try to keep the place feeling cozy for everyone. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so they know the shortcuts around. It’s a quiet life up here mostly. We just focus on making sure the rooms are ready and the tea is hot when someone arrives. It’s a plain, honest place to stay if you want to be near the walk but away from the heaviest crowds and noise.
