Hotel Ashoka Continental

We’ve been here at the Library end of The Mall for quite a while now. It's a busy spot, especially during the peak seasons when everyone comes up to Mussoorie to escape the heat. The hotel itself is an older building, so it has that bit of character you don't always find in the newer places. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are tidy and the water is running hot, which can be a bit of a challenge sometimes when the weather turns cold. Most people who stay with us are just looking for a place that's right in the middle of everything. You step outside and you're basically on the main road where all the shops and food places are. It gets noisy outside, but that’s just how it is when you’re centrally located. We have a small staff here, just a few of us who handle the front desk and the cleaning. We try to keep things simple. If you need a towel or some extra tea, we'll get it to you when we can. The view from some of the windows looks out over the valley, which is nice in the mornings before the mist rolls in. It's not a fancy setup, just a regular hotel for travelers passing through or staying for a weekend. We see a lot of families and young groups coming by. It keeps us busy, especially on Saturdays. It is just a place to sleep and wash up while you are visiting the hills.
