Kshanica sits right on Hill Cart Road in the Pradhan Nagar area of Siliguri. If you have ever driven through Siliguri, you know this road is basically the heart of the town’s movement. It’s always dusty and noisy, but that is just the way things are here. Our place is easy to find if you are looking for it. We’ve been operating out of this spot for some time now. Pradhan Nagar has a lot of shops and businesses, so there is a constant flow of people walking by. We aren't trying to be the most modern spot on the block. The building is simple, and we keep the inside functional. It’s about being there for the local community and the travelers who stop in Siliguri before heading up to the hills. We handle our daily tasks without much fuss. The mornings start with getting everything set up, and we just go from there until closing time. Sometimes the traffic on Hill Cart Road gets backed up right in front of our door, but we just watch it pass. It’s a real, working-class kind of atmosphere. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the place stays open and ready. We like the rhythm of this neighborhood. It’s busy, it’s a bit messy, and it’s home. We just keep doing what we do every single day.
