The Cascade Restaurant

If you know R S Puram in Coimbatore, you probably know D B Road. We are at No 356, on the first floor. It is right near the Pizza Hut, so people use that as a landmark to find us. The Cascade Restaurant is mostly known for Chinese food. We’ve been here for years, and the decor hasn't changed much in that time. It has that dark wood and red lantern feel that a lot of older Chinese places have. Since we are on the first floor, you have to walk up a flight of stairs that are a bit narrow. It gets very busy on Sunday nights with families from all over the neighborhood. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of woks and fire. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when every table is full, but the staff does their best to keep up. We don't have a big fancy entrance, just a door on the busy street. Coimbatore is a busy city, and R S Puram is one of the busiest parts. Parking on D B Road can be a real headache, but people still manage to find a spot. It’s a straightforward place to eat. We don’t put a lot of effort into being trendy. We just serve the food and clear the tables for the next group. It is just a local spot that has been around for a while.
