Our shop is at No 20/53 on Maruthamalai Main Road in Vadavalli. We are tucked behind the Karuparayan Koil, which is a quiet enough spot compared to the main road. Coimbatore has a lot of food places, and we’re just one of them. We’ve been in Vadavalli for some time now. The address is 641041. We mostly serve the people who live around here or those passing through on their way to the temple. It’s a family-run kind of place. We don’t have a big corporate structure. One of us handles the money, and the others are in the kitchen. We use the recipes our parents taught us. It’s nothing complicated. We have some benches for people to sit. It’s not the biggest place, but we make it work. Sometimes the supply of ingredients is a bit tight, so we adjust what we make that day. We don't have fancy printed menus. Usually, we just tell people what’s available. The floor is concrete and we sweep it several times a day. We keep the water jars filled. It’s just a simple life here, cooking and serving. We don’t spend money on ads. Word of mouth is usually how people find out about our food. We start work before the sun comes up to get everything ready. It is a long day but we don't mind the work.
