10 Biriyani Mandi

So we are here at number ten, right on Kalinganagar Street in Ram Nagar. It's easy to find us if you know where Vishnu Priya hotel is, we're just right near there. People in Coimbatore know this area gets busy, especially around lunch time when everyone is looking for something solid to eat. We started 10 Biriyani Mandi because we just wanted a place where people could sit down and have a proper meal without too much fuss. The mandi style is how we do things, with the big plates meant for sharing with your friends or family. It's not a fancy place with dim lights or anything like that. We have tables, chairs, and the smell of spices in the air all day. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with bikes, but that's just how Ram Nagar is. We open up in the morning to get the rice and meat going so it's ready when the hunger hits. It is a simple setup. We don't spend much time on decorations because the food is why people come through the door anyway. If you are walking down from the main road or finished some work near the hotel, you'll see our sign. It's just a local spot for local people. We've been here for a while now and the neighbors know us well. It’s just us doing what we do every day. We don't really have a big story, we just cook.
